One person was killed in the Donetsk region as a result of Russian shelling
On the night of August 6, Russia attacked Ukraine with four Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missiles, two X-59 guided missiles and 16 Shahed attack drones. Ukrainian Air Force reported shooting down two ballistic missiles, two X-59 guided missiles and 15 attack drones in the Kyiv, Kherson, Mykolaiv and Khmelnytskyi regions.

In the Kharkiv region, bordering Russia to the east, the Russians shelled Tsyrkuny, Kupians-Vuzlovyi, Kolisnykivka, Prykolotne, Kupiansk, and Odnorobivka. Private houses and cars were damaged. A police officer got injured in Kupiansk.
In the Donetsk region, partially occupied since 2014 and located on the frontline in the east of Ukraine, the Russian army launched 2841 attacks on Kurakhove, Lyman, Toretsk, Tsukuryne, Ivanopil, and Mykolaivka. Administrative buildings, a workshop, shops, a pharmacy, a garage, and cars were damaged. Two people were wounded. One person was killed in Toretsk.
In the Luhansk region, almost completely occupied by Russia, the Russians shelled Nevske and Makiivka with attack drones and artillery. The regional military administration reports no casualties.
In the Dnipropetrovsk region in south-central Ukraine, the Russians attacked Nikopol and the communities of Marhanets and Pokrovske. Private houses were damaged. One person was injured.
In the Mykolaiv region in the south of Ukraine, the Russians struck the Voznesensk and Mykolaiv districts. Private houses and a healthcare centre were damaged. The regional military administration reports no casualties. The Russian army shelled the communities of Kutsurub, Ochakiv and Koblevo. Private houses and a resort were damaged. In the Kherson region, partially occupied since 2022, the Russians shelled Antonivka, Prydniprovske, Sadove, Inzhenerne, Bilozerka, Tomyna Balka, Inhulets, Beryslav, Davydiv Brid, Lvove, Mykhailivka and Kherson. Residential areas were damaged, including eight multi-storey buildings and 13 private houses. Five people were injured, and one person was killed.
In the Chernihiv region, bordering Belarus and Russia to the north, the Russians shelled the communities of Novhorod-Siverskyi, Snovsk and Semenivka. There were no casualties.
In the Sumy region, bordering Russia to the north, the Russians attacked 25 settlements. An apartment block, eight private houses, a school, a cultural centre, a boarding school, an administrative building, a bus and a motorbike were damaged. One person was injured, and one person was killed.
In the Zaporizhzhia region, partially occupied in the south since 2022, the Russians shelled Prymorske, Tavriiske, Zaliznychne, Preobrazhenka, Huliaipole, Novoandriivka, Mala Tokmachka, Levadne, and Malynivka. Two people got injured.
In the Kyiv region, the Russians struck with Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missiles. The fragments of the missiles shot down by the Air Force damaged an apartment building, two petrol stations, an office building, and a forestry building. The regional military administration reports no casualties.
