One person killed by Russian shelling over the past day. Another 11 sustained injuries

In the morning, the Air Force downed 19 Shahed drones in the Kherson, Mykolaiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Kirovohrad, Khmelnytskyi and Lviv regions.

In the village of Malekhiv, Lviv region that borders Poland in the west of Ukraine, a drone hit a multi-storey residential building, smashing 20 windows. An office building was also damaged, and a 70-year-old security guard was taken to hospital. In the private sector, windows in five buildings suffered damage. Also, a research institute in Lviv sustained damage.

In the Kharkiv region, bordering Russia in the east of Ukraine, the Russians shelled Bilyi Kolodiaz, Slatyne, Symynivka and Kurylivka. Two people were injured. In the village of Rodychi, during a walk, a seven-year-old boy picked up an explosive device which detonated as a result.  The child was taken to hospital. 

In the Donetsk region, partially occupied since 2014 and located on the frontline in the east of Ukraine, the Russians conducted 2,291 attacks on the territory of the region. The towns of Hirnyk, Zalizne, Toretsk, Chasiv Yar, Hostre, Druzhba, Zarichne, Kurakhivka, Pivnichne and Shcherbynivka came under attack. One person was killed, and three were injured. Twenty-three residential buildings and a power line were damaged.

In the Sumy region, bordering Russia to the north, the Russian army fired 28 times at the border areas. The Khotin, Myropillia, Yunakivka, Bilopillia, Krasnopillia, Velyka Pysarivka, Shalyhyne, Esman, and Seredyna Buda communities came under attack. The military recorded 96 explosions. There were no casualties. 

In the Chernihiv region, bordering Belarus and Russia to the north, the Russian army attacked Novhorod-Siverskyi, Semenivka and Snovsk communities. Border guards recorded 31 explosions.

In the Kherson region, south of Ukraine, which has been partially occupied since 2022, Burhunka, Mykhailivka, Tiahynka, Dniprovske, Yantarne, Stanislav, Kozatske, Virivka, Shyroka Balka, Havrylivka, Lvove, Olhivka, Oleksandrivka, Antonivka, Sadove, Inzhenerne, Prydniprovske, Beryslav and Kherson came under attack. A multi-storey building and seven private houses, the territory of an educational institution, a factory and a farm, along with garages and private cars were damaged. Two people were injured. 

In the Mykolaiv region, south of Ukraine, debris fell in the Pervomaisk district. The Russians also used artillery to attack the Kutsurub community. There were no casualties. 

In the Dnipropetrovsk region, south central Ukraine, on June 18, Russians shelled Nikopol (next to the temporarily occupied Enerhodar, where Zaporizhzhia NPP is located), the Myriv, Pokrovske and Marhanets communities. Two people were injured.  14 private houses, outbuildings, power lines and gas pipelines were damaged. 

In the Zaporizhzhia region in the south, partially occupied since 2022,  the Russian army fired 379 times at eight settlements in the region. There are six reports of residential destruction. There were no casualties reported.
