One person killed and 13 wounded in Russian shelling over the past 24 hours

Overnight, the Russians attacked Kharkiv from a UAV. In the city, 25 trucks, buses and three cars were damaged. Windows in a three-storey office building belonging to a utility company and four private houses were also damaged. Seven people were injured, suffering from an acute stress reaction. In the region, the Russian army shelled Ivashky. The shelling destroyed one house and damaged five others.

In the Luhansk region, almost completely occupied by Russia, the Russians fired artillery and mortar shells at Nevske, Makiivka, Stelmakhivka and Novoliubivka. In Nevske, two houses were destroyed. 

During the day, the Russians struck 2,360 times in the Donetsk region, which has been partially occupied since 2014 and is located on the frontline in the east of Ukraine. Kostiantynivka, Kramatorsk, New York, Pivnichne, Bilokuzminivka, Yelyzavetivka and Zavitne came under fire. Seventeen residential buildings were damaged. Two people were injured.

In the Sumy region in the north of Ukraine, bordering Russia, the communities of Sadove, Mykolaiv, Khotin, Yunakivka, Bilopillia, Krasnopillia, Miropillia, Velyka Pysarivka, Putyvl, Esman, Shalyhyne, Seredyna-Buda, Svesa and Znob-Novgorod came under Russian attack. In total, the Russians fired 50 times at the border areas and settlements. There is no information on casualties or damage. 

On May 20, the Russians shelled two border communities in the Chernihiv region bordering Belarus and Russia to the north: Novhorod-Siverskyi and Snovsk. The military recorded 35 explosions. There were no casualties.

In the Mykolaiv region in the south of Ukraine, Russians fired artillery at the communities of Ochakiv and Kutsurub. There were no casualties.

In the Kherson region, partially occupied since 2022, Antonivka, Sadove, Prydniprovske, Romashkove, Yantarne, Stanislav, Inzhenerne, Dniprovske, Bilozerka, Tokarivka, Mykhailivka, Tomaryne, Novooleksandrivka, Chervonyi Maiak and Kherson were attacked. Seven multi-storey buildings and seven private houses were damaged. A school, an industrial plant, a pumping station and a gas pipeline were hit. One person was killed and three injured.

Within a day, the Russians attacked Nikopol and the communities of Marhanets, Pokrovske and Myrove in the Dnipropetrovsk region in southcentral Ukraine with artillery and drones. On May 20, a 42-year-old man was injured. One block of flats and 18 private houses, five outbuildings, a garage, a medical facility, an infrastructure facility, gas pipelines and electricity lines were damaged. On the night of May 21, the community of Pokrovske was also attacked. Six private houses, four outbuildings, an administrative building, a gas pipeline and an electricity line were damaged overnight. 

The Russians attacked settlements in the Zaporizhzhia region, which has been partially occupied in the south since 2022, 434 times. Ten villages and towns were attacked. There were six cases of destruction of residential buildings.
