One person died as a result of Russian shelling over the past day. Another 17 got injured
Over the past day, Russian troops have attacked eight regions of Ukraine.
In Kharkiv, Russian troops attacked the Kyivskyi district. As a result of the shelling, the windows of the apartment and entrance windows were damaged. In the Kharkiv region, bordering Russia in the east of Ukraine, the towns of Kupiansk, Borova, Bobrivka and Odnorobivka were attacked. Private houses, a pharmacy, a hospital and an educational institution were damaged. Four people were injured.
In the Donetsk region, which has been partially occupied since 2014 and is located on the frontline in the east of Ukraine, the Russian army conducted 2,414 attacks. The Russians attacked Kurakhove, Toretsk, Velyka Novosilka, Zhelanne, the village of New York, Pivnichne, Yampil, Zolota Nyva, Novozhelanne, Mykhailivka, and Predtechyne. Forty-one civilian objects were destroyed, including 24 residential buildings, an administrative building, educational institutions, a shop, a boiler house, and vehicles. One person was killed, and 11 others were injured.
In the Sumy region, bordering Russia to the north, the army carried out 40 attacks. The communities of Khotin, Yunakivka, Bilopillia, Myropillia, Velyka Pysarivka, Esman, Shalyhyne, Seredyna-Buda, Krasnopillia, Nova Sloboda and Znob-Novgorod came under attack. The military recorded 163 explosions.
In the Chernihiv region, bordering Belarus and Russia to the north, Russian troops attacked the communities of Semenivka, Novhorod-Siverskyi and Horodnia. The shelling damaged residential buildings. Residents were not injured.
In the Mykolaiv region in the south of Ukraine, Ochakiv came under artillery attack. The roof of a five-storey building was damaged. The Russians also attacked the Kutsurub community. There were no casualties.
In the Kherson region in the south of Ukraine, which has been partially occupied since 2022, the Russian army shelled Prydniprovske, Novotiahynka, Veletenske, Komyshany, Kizomys, Antonivka, Tiahynka, Odradokamianka, Dudchany, Mykhailivka, Novokaira, Osokorivka, Lvove and Kherson. Three multi-storey buildings and seven private houses were damaged. There were hits to educational institutions and a kindergarten. The shelling damaged garages and private cars. Two people were injured.
In the Dnipropetrovsk region in southcentral Ukraine, Nikopol and the communities of Pokrovske, Marhanets, and Myrove came under Russian attack. Private houses, outbuildings, power lines and gas pipelines were damaged. There were no casualties.
