On February 15, Tinder to leave the Belarusian market

On February 15, the dating app Tinder will withdraw from the Belarusian market.
The service's website informs.
"Match Group brands, including Tinder, are taking steps to shut down their services in Belarus. As of February 15, if you’re located in Belarus, you won’t be able to use Tinder services or sign into your account,"
the service says in a statement.
Earlier, RFE/RL's Belarus Service wrote that Belarusian security forces used Tinder to identify people who had come out to protest against self-proclaimed President Alyaksandr Lukashenka under the guise of dating. There have been several cases of convictions where the case began with information from the app's correspondence.
Tinder also notes that users who have paid for six-month or one-year subscriptions will be able to request a refund.
In addition, the dating apps Hinge and OkCupid are being shut down in Belarus.
