Nine people killed in the Kharkiv and Donetsk regions by Russian shelling on May 26

In the Kharkiv region, bordering Russia in the east of Ukraine, the Russians attacked seven settlements: Khotimlia, Bohuslavka, Ivashky, Kupiansk-Vuzlovyi, Kupiansk, Starytsia, and Vovchansk. Residential buildings were damaged. Four people were killed and eight were wounded, including two boys aged 13 and 9.

In the Kharkiv sector, the Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled 10 attacks near the villages of Lyptsi and Ternova, and fighting continues in the areas of Vovchansk and Starytsia. 

In the Donetsk region, which has been partially occupied since 2014 and is located on the frontline in the east of Ukraine, the Russians attacked nine settlements: Krasnohorivka, Kurakhove, Lyman, Selydove, Siversk, Chasiv Yar, Pivdenne, Antonivka, Zakitne. Over the last day, the Donetsk region was subjected to 2082 Russian attacks. 33 buildings were damaged residential buildings and an outbuilding. Five people were killed and three were injured. 

In the Kherson region, which has been partially occupied since 2022, the Russians attacked Komyshany, Bilozerka, Sadove, Antonivka, Novotianka, Mykhailivka, Burhunka, Rakivka and the city of Kherson. The Russian army conducted air strikes with anti-aircraft gunships in Beryslav and Kherson districts. 12 private houses were damaged. There were also hits to the administrative building and the Point of Invincibility. Three people were wounded. 

In the Dnipropetrovsk region in the southcentral Ukraine, the Russian army attacked the Marhanets community with a kamikaze drone. Russians also shelled Nikopol with heavy artillery. A private enterprise and two residential buildings were damaged. There were no casualties.

The Russian army attacked the Sumy region, bordering Russia, 12 times. The communities of Bilopillia, Krasnopillia, and Esman came under fire. No casualties were reported.

The Russians shelled eight settlements in the Zaporizhzhia region in the south of Ukraine, partially occupied since 2022, 412 times: Zaporizhzhia, Novoandriivka, Levadne, Huliaipole, Levadne, Robotyno, Mala Tokmachka, Malynivka. There was one report of a residential building being destroyed. There were no casualties.

In the Chernihiv region, bordering Russian and Belarus, the Russians attacked the communities of Novhorod-Siverskyi, Semenivka and Snovsk with mortars, cannon artillery and FPV drones. No damage or casualties have been reported.

In the Mykolaiv region in the south of Ukraine, Russians fired artillery at Ochakiv. No one was injured.
