New Zealand imposes additional sanctions against Russia
The New Zealand government has introduced additional sanctions against the Russian Federation.
This is stated on the government website.
In particular, this time the country has imposed restrictions on 87 people. Among them are persons close to Putin, members of the Central Election Commission of the Russian Federation, and military personnel who took part in the war against Ukraine.
These restrictions also apply to their family members.
In total, since March 9, 2022, the country has imposed sanctions against over 1,000 individuals and over 350 organizations.
The country's government called this package of restrictions one of the largest.
