Municipal services are being evacuated from Avdiivka in the Donetsk region

Municipal services are to be evacuated from Avdiivka in the Donetsk region, which is under heavy shelling by the Russian military.

Avdiivka Governor Vitalii Barabash reported this.

There are also plans to cut off mobile communications due to Russian informants in the city.

After the evacuation of municipal services, there will be no one to run generators and a mobile tower in the city.  

People still living in the city are also being urged to evacuate, especially those with children.

"At the rate, the rockets are hitting, experience shows that basements are no longer a haven. I think Avdiivka may soon become a second Mariinka. Nothing will be left of it [Avdiivka — ed.]," said Barabash.
