More than 600 conscripts and cadets from Russia were placed in the Zaporizhzhia NPP bomb shelter

National Nuclear Energy Generating Company "Energoatom" reported this.

The soldiers were placed in the bomb shelter of the non-standard equipment (NSE) factory, where they are waiting to be transferred to the Donetsk direction of the front.

The Russians also set up a machine-gun position on the roof of the fifth power unit of the ZNNP and placed checkpoints at all entrances to the overpasses through which personnel get to the power units.

In addition, the Russian military continues to build fortifications and military structures around the plant's power units and its dry spent nuclear fuel storage facility.

The Russians denied access to the storage facility to Ukrainian personnel and IAEA representatives present at the ZNPP site.

"We once again call on the international community to facilitate the withdrawal of the Russian military from the territory of the ZNPP and Enerhodar, the demilitarization of the station, and its return under the full control of Ukraine as soon as possible! This will save the world not only from a nuclear but also from a large-scale environmental disaster!" Energoatom urged.
