More than 50 Russian servicemen sentenced for war crimes in Ukraine — Prosecutor General's Office

Ukrainian courts have sentenced 50 Russian servicemen who committed war crimes in Ukraine.

Prosecutor General of Ukraine, Andrii Kostin, announced this.

In total, Ukrainian prosecutors have declared over 300 Russian servicemen suspects, and 200 of them are facing charges.

"War crimes are widespread and diverse. The biggest challenges are in the investigation of these crimes, as we are dealing with a large number of them. And we already have results in this area," Kostin said.

Such trials are held in absentia, but "it is important for victims to know that the aggressor's guilt has been proven," the Prosecutor General said.
