Mariupol City Council shows a photo of the Drama Theatre the way it looks now

The Mariupol City Council showed a picture of the Drama Theatre the way it looks now. In March 2022, the Russians dropped a bomb on it when hundreds of people were hiding in its shelter.

The photos were posted on Telegram.

"Now, the occupiers want to build a new theatre on the bones of the dead. They want to dance and sing in this place. And at the same time, they are trying to hide their war crime," the city council says.

It will be recalled that in August 2023, the Russians began the so-called "reconstruction" of the destroyed Drama Theatre in the temporarily occupied Mariupol.

Earlier, an Associated Press investigation found that the number of people killed in the bombing of the Mariupol Drama Theatre could be as high as 600.

The Mariupol City Council claimed that 300 people were killed in the bombing of the Mariupol Drama Theatre by the Russian military on March 16.
