Lithuanian parliament adopts resolution on NATO summit in Vilnius

The Lithuanian parliament has supported a resolution on holding the NATO Summit in Vilnius. It is expected to be held in July 2023.

One of the resolution's clauses states that Ukraine should be invited to join NATO at the summit. And to sign the accession protocols and start the ratification process "once conditions allow".

“We are against grey security zones, we want to prove wrong the thesis that Russia has the right to veto Ukraine’s membership. We think that Ukraine will contribute to our security, will make NATO stronger,” the parliamentary foreign affairs committee chairman said.
