Latvia will not participate in the Olympic Games together with athletes from Belarus and Russia

The President of the Latvian Olympic Committee announced that Latvian athletes would not participate in the Olympic Games together with athletes from Belarus and Russia.

This was reported by Delfi.

"Latvia's position is that if these games were held now and athletes from Russia and Belarus participated in them, I think that the Latvian national team would not go to these games," said Žoržs Tikmers.

The Latvian Olympic Committee also plans to suggest that Latvian sports federations appeal to their international colleagues to prevent athletes from Russia and Belarus from participating in the Olympic qualification competitions.
