Latvia joins G7 Declaration on security guarantees for Ukraine
Latvia has joined the G7 Declaration on security guarantees for Ukraine, which was adopted during the NATO Summit on July 12.
The Prime Minister of Latvia, Krišjānis Kariņš, announced this.
"Latvia joins the G7 Declaration of support to Ukraine. Together with our partners, we will support Ukraine in its fight against Russia's aggression for as long as it takes. We expect an ad hoc international tribunal for Russian aggression against Ukraine," the statement said.
Earlier, Joe Biden said that the G7 Joint Declaration makes it clear that support for Ukraine is long-term.
Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, and Sweden joined the Declaration.
