Joe Biden appeals to Congress for additional funding for Ukraine and Israel
The White House has called on Congress to "advance critical national security priorities". In particular, President Biden is asking Congress for additional funding for Ukraine and Israel.

Insider reported that the US presidential administration is requesting $61.4 billion for Ukraine and $14.3 billion for Israel, as well as $9.15 billion for humanitarian aid for those two countries as well as the Gaza Strip.
Assistance to Ukraine includes air defence systems, ammunition, small arms, and other key equipment that "made a significant difference on the battlefield"; investments in the defence industrial base, transportation costs for US personnel and equipment, and continued strengthening of the US military presence in Europe; assistance in the economic sphere and civilian security, including direct budget support; support for Ukrainians displaced by the war, etc.
Assistance to Israel includes ensuring the readiness of Israel's air and missile defence systems by supporting the government in the procurement of missile defence systems and components, replenishing the Ministry of Defence's stockpiles, strengthening the Israeli army, and enhancing the security of the US Embassy through foreign military funding from the State Department, etc.
