Jerry Heil and Alyona Alyona will represent Ukraine at the Eurovision Song Contest 2024 with the song "Teresa & Maria"

On February 3, the National Selection for Eurovision took place. The voting was conducted in the Diia app developed by the Ministry of Digital Transformation (Ukrainians can store all the necessary documents in the app - Ed.) 

Due to the large number of people willing to vote, there was a failure and voting for the candidates was extended until 19:05 on February 4.

Jerry Heil and Alyona Alyona received 11 points from the audience and 10 from the jury.

This year's Eurovision Song Contest 2024 will be held in May in Malmö, Sweden

It is the third time Jerry Heil has participated in the National Selection, but this year, she performed with Alyona Alyona. Their song caused a discussion among the audience because of the appropriateness of mentioning Mother Teresa in the song. 

"This song is not about Mother Teresa. We use her as a symbol here. I am surprised that some people do not understand this, but there are not many of them," Jerry Heil said in a commentary to Suspilne.

Ukrainian singers are predicted to win the Eurovision Song Contest in May 2024 in Malmö.
