Italian party Lega spreads manipulations about the war in Ukraine - the Center for Countering Disinformation

Italian Senator Massimiliano Romeo believes that "the fate of Ukraine should be collectively decided by the world community". The Center notes that in this way the senator levels the international position of Ukraine as an independent state.

Italian Deputy Prime Minister Mateo Salvini opposes sanctions against Russia. The politician spreads the Russian narrative that sanctions allegedly do not work. He believes that sanctions instead "benefit Putin's economy".
