Iran handed over drones to Russia, despite US warning not to do so - Associated Press

Currently, it is not known whether Russia has started using them in the war against Ukraine, however, it is likely that the drones are functional and ready for use.

Deliveries of "hundreds" of unmanned aerial vehicles may indicate closer military cooperation between these countries.

In addition, the United States is negotiating with Iran to limit its nuclear program. A possible softening of sanctions against Tehran will allow Russia to increase its military operations in Ukraine and bypass restrictions, including transiting its energy resources through Iran.
