IDF announces head of Hamas's "aerial forces" killed
The Israeli army and security services have announced the death of the head of the so-called Hamas "aviation group", Issam Abu Rukbeh.
The Times of Israel reports.
According to the Israeli side, Issam Abu Rukbeh was responsible for managing the terror group's drones, UAVs, paragliders, aerial detection systems and air defence. He was killed in an overnight airstrike.
The Israeli Defence Forces struck 150 Hamas targets. A series of clashes took place between the military and representatives of the group. Reports suggest that several Hamas members were killed and infrastructure belonging to the terrorist group was destroyed.
Currently, Israeli troops remain in the Gaza Strip. They claim that this is an "expanded ground operation", not a full ground offensive.
It will be recalled that on the evening of October 27, the IDF announced the expansion of its ground operation in Gaza.
