IAEA Director-General Grossi: Agency experts have made 'progress' in the review of ZNPP

The Director-General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Rafael Grossi, said the agency's experts have made "progress" in accessing the Russian-occupied ZNPP.
He stated this during a visit to Japan, LBC quoted him as saying.
According to Grossi, the IAEA representatives were able to inspect the cooling ponds and other places.
However, they were unable to gain access to inspect the roof of the station, where, according to Ukrainian intelligence, the Russians placed objects similar to explosives.
The IAEA was referred to the occupation administration to gain access to the roof.
"I am inclined to believe that we will get this permission. This is a combat zone, so sometimes it may take a day or two to get the permissions," he added.
