Head of the National Police, Ihor Klymenko, will act as the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine

The Prime Minister of Ukraine, Denys Shmyhal, announced this.

The nomination for the appointment of a new head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs will be submitted after discussion with the Verkhovna Rada

Ihor Klymenko was born in 1972 in Kyiv. He studied at the Kharkiv Military University. In 2014, he obtained a Master's degree in Law from the Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs. In 2019, he obtained the scientific degree of Doctor of Psychological Sciences.

From 2015 to 2017, he headed the Personnel Support Department of the National Police of Ukraine.

Since 2017, he has held the position of Deputy Head of the National Police of Ukraine — Head of the Department of Personnel Support, since 2018 he was the Deputy Head of the National Police of Ukraine.

Since September 25, 2019, Ihor Klymenko has been the Head of the National Police of Ukraine.
