Government simplifies the procedure for importing components for drones to Ukraine

Mykhailo Fedorov, Vice Prime Minister for Innovation, Education, Science, and Technology Development and Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine, announced this.

Now drone manufacturers will not need to obtain a special permit from the Security Service of Ukraine. Previously, it took up to 15 days.

"The examination itself delayed the process of importing components for drones. For example, GPS modules or thermal cameras. Simplification of the procedure will speed up the import, assembly, and delivery of these components to the front," the Minister wrote.

Fedorov also noted that the government is amending the Customs and Tax Codes so that UAV importers do not have to pay import duties and VAT on drones and their components during martial law.
