Germany has found new sources of energy.

"Yes, of course, Germany is still dependent on energy imports, but today it is not imports from Russia, but from global markets," he said.

Previously, Germany imported about half of its gas and more than a third of its oil from Russia.

In order to get rid of its dependence on Russia, Germany has reopened coal-fired power plants, postponed plans to close its three remaining nuclear power plants, and decided to increase storage capacity for natural gas imported from other countries such as Norway and the United States.
