Georgia accuses Mikheil Saakashvili's associates and Georgian Legion soldiers of allegedly preparing Euromaidan in the country
Georgia’s State Security Service has accused Mikheil Saakashvili's associates and the Georgian Legion soldiers fighting in Ukraine of allegedly preparing a rebellion against the government in the country.
This was reported by Georgia Online.
According to the SSS, the authors of the plan are former Prime Minister of Georgia Vano Merabishvili, Deputy Head of Ukraine's Military Intelligence Giorgi Lortkipanidze, and the commander of the Georgian Legion in Ukraine Mamuka Mamulashvili.
According to Georgia 's State Security Service, the destructive processes will begin in October-December, when the European Commission's interim report on the prospects of granting Georgia candidate status is due to be published.
A spokesperson for the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry denied the SSS's claim that the Ukrainian military was involved in the preparation of the rebellion. "The current Georgian government is once again trying to demonise Ukraine in order to resolve its internal political issues. The Ukrainian state has not interfered, is not interfering and does not plan to interfere in the internal affairs of Georgia ," said Oleh Nikolenko.
