Family of British volunteer Andrew Bagshaw, who died in Ukraine, claim he was executed by Wagner PMC militants

The relatives of British volunteer Andrew Bagshaw, who died in Ukraine in the temporarily occupied city of Soledar, said he was executed by Wagner PMC militants. Christopher Perry was killed along with him.

Sky News reports with reference to Philip Bagshaw, the father of the deceased volunteer.

Andrew Bagshaw and Chris Perry disappeared on January 7, 2023, near the temporarily occupied Soledar. They had travelled from Kramatorsk to Soledar, after which contact with them was cut off.

On January 24, it became known that Chris Perry and Andrew Bagshaw had died trying to evacuate civilians from Soledar. It was reported that their car was hit by an artillery shell while they were trying to save an elderly woman. This information was released by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs at the time.

However, Bagshaw's father stated that the results of Andrew's autopsy indicate that he was executed - according to Philip Bagshaw, he was shot in the torso and head.

The man also claims that volunteer Christopher Perry received almost identical injuries. Perry's family has not publicly commented on Philip Bagshaw's statements.

Bagshaw calls it a "classic style of execution" and notes that people they have spoken to in Ukraine suggest that it was done by Wagner PMC fighters.
