Estonian Prime Minister Kaja Kallas could not say when exactly she had granted a loan to her husband's company

Kaja Kallas attended a meeting of the Estonian parliament's anti-corruption committee, the Riigikogu. During the meeting, the Prime Minister was unable to say when she had extended a loan to her husband's company.
This was reported by Estonian public broadcasting.
"I do not dare to answer this question now. I want to make sure that people don't say that I lied again," Kallas said.
The company Stark Logistics, owned by Kallas' husband, Arvo Hallik, is associated with the Estonian company Metaprint, which continues to operate in Russia.
The prime minister said that her husband's company had repaid the loan in June, July and August 2023 with interest. Kallas paid tax on the interest income.
She added that she was yet to receive the EUR 22,000 that Novaria Consult had borrowed this year.
The official once again stressed that her husband's business could not be called Russian and also criticised the work of the anti-corruption commission.
It will be recalled that a political crisis has arisen in Estonia due to the business activities of the Prime Minister's husband in Russia.
