Estonia will not extradite Ukrainians of military age — Prime Minister Kaja Kallas

Estonian Prime Minister Kaja Kallas has said that her country will not extradite its citizens of military age to Ukraine.
She said this in an interview with The Kyiv Independent.
Kallas noted that during Volodymyr Zelenskyy's visit to Tallinn, they talked about Ukrainian refugees, particularly men of military age.
"President Zelenskyy was describing that there are people who are on the battlefield, and then there are people who are paying taxes to Ukraine so that you can fund the soldiers who are on the battlefield. But then there are also people who are in foreign countries like Estonia," the prime minister said.
Kaja Kallas supports the position that such people have the right to be in Estonia if they follow the rules. They can also receive temporary protection from the EU.
"We will definitely not do anything on our side to give those people out. It is up to Ukraine to turn to the people who are here and request them to come back to help their motherland," added Estonian Prime Minister Kaja Kallas.
Earlier, Estonian Minister of the Interior Lauri Läänemets said that Estonia is ready to help Ukraine mobilise its citizens if necessary.
"Estonia will not stand aside. We are ready to sign such an agreement and help Ukraine. We have an idea where these people live in Estonia. We are ready to help bring these people from Estonia to Ukraine if they need it," added the Minister of the Interior.
