Erdoğan and Putin agree to meet in Türkiye
Recep Erdoğan has agreed to meet with Vladimir Putin in Türkiye.
The Turkish President's Communications Department announced this.
During a telephone conversation with the Russian president, Erdoğan also stressed the importance of the Black Sea Grain Initiative.
"The long-term suspension of the Black Sea Initiative will not benefit anyone. Countries that need grain and have low incomes will suffer the most," Erdoğan told the Russian president.
The Kremlin confirmed a telephone conversation between Erdoğan and Putin but did not comment on the Russian president's visit to Türkiye.
Since Türkiye is not a signatory to the Rome Statute, it is not obliged to arrest Putin if he arrives.
