Employees of Kherson regional hospital invented diseases for 11 orphans in order not to deport them to Russia

Doctor Olha Piliarska says they wrote down diagnoses in the medical records with which the children could not be transported.

"We were afraid that [Russians - ed.] would find out... [but - ed.] we decided that we would save the children at any cost," Pilyarska added.

In addition, in Stepanivka, Volodymyr Sahaidak, director of the Center for Social and Psychological Rehabilitation, also rescued 52 orphans and disadvantaged children. They were hidden by the Center's staff and Sahaidak's distant relatives'.
