Due to shelling, Zaporizhzhia NPP is in blackout mode for the seventh time

As a result of the shelling, the last high-voltage transmission line, Dniprovska, which supplied power to the temporarily occupied Zaporizhzhia NPP for its own needs, was disconnected at 5:26 a.m. This is the seventh time the nuclear power plant has been left without power. The Energoatom National Nuclear Energy Generating Company reported this.

After the loss of external power, all diesel generators at the plant switched on automatically. The fuel supply is enough for ten days.

"If it is impossible to restore external power to the plant during this time, an accident with radiation consequences for the whole world may occur. Russia's nuclear terrorism must stop immediately, and the invaders must leave the plant's territory and the satellite city of Enerhodar," Energoatom wrote.

The enterprise called on the international community to take measures to withdraw the occupation troops from the territory of Zaporizhzhia NPP and give the plant under the full control of Energoatom.

UPD: Ukrenergo has restored the power line to Zaporizhzhia NPP
