Denmark to cut staff of the Russian Embassy in Copenhagen
Denmark will reduce the staff of the Russian Embassy in Copenhagen corresponding to the size of the Danish embassy in Moscow.
This is stated on the website of the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The Russian ambassador was told to cut staff to a maximum of 5 diplomats and 20 administrative and technical staff.
The reduction should take place by September 29, 2023.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Denmark and Russia negotiated visas for Danish embassy staff, but to no avail, as the Russian side regularly tried to secure visas for Russian intelligence officers.
It will be recalled that the Icelandic Foreign Ministry has suspended the work of its embassy in Moscow
