Denmark gives all its artillery to Ukraine and calls on the West to do the same

Munich, Germany (Svidomi) — At the Munich Security Conference, Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen said her country had handed over all its artillery to Ukraine and called on the West to do the same.

Mette Frederiksen says that Europe has stockpiles of weapons that should be transferred to Ukraine. She made this statement against the backdrop of European leaders often using problems with weapons production as an obstacle to increasing supplies.

Excuse me, friends, Europe has military equipment; it's not just a matter of production. We have weapons, ammunition, air defence systems that we are not using yet, and we need to give them to Ukraine,

she said.

The Danish prime minister added that Russia destabilises the Western world from different directions: through the Arctic, the Balkans, Africa and in cyberspace.

"If they (Russia — ed.) do not want peace, then we must be able to defend ourselves," she said.

Frederiksen also believes that Europe should not rely on the United States alone but should take responsibility for itself.
