"Darkness could not darken our spirit": Volodymyr Zelenskyy congratulates Ukrainians on Easter

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy addressed Ukrainians in honor of Easter.

The Head of State emphasized that Ukrainians were able to keep the light inside them and defeated panic and fear by uniting.

"We have united. Millions of flashes in millions of Ukrainian hearts became one big fire. Our strength and steadfastness were forged in this fire. This fire did not allow our hope and faith to fade away, the whole world saw this fire. It rallied around it, stood next to us," Zelenskyy said. 

Zelenskyy added that the symbol of Easter is the victory of goodness, truth, and life. 

"The main symbol of the holiday is the victory of goodness, truth, and life. We celebrate Easter with unwavering faith in the irreversibility of these victories. On this day a year ago, we all prayed for Ukraine to survive, and today we pray for Ukraine to win. The sun will rise over all of Ukraine - this is a blue and yellow flag," Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.
