Czech Republic refuses to participate in the UN Security Council convened by Russia over the Belgorod attack

Representatives of the Czech Republic refused to participate in the UN Security Council convened by Russia over the attack on Belgorod on December 30.

This was stated by Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic Jan Lipavský.

"We refuse to be summoned by Russia. The Czech Republic will not serve the aggressor's propaganda poisoned with lies. When Russia wants to discuss the withdrawal of its occupation troops at the Security Council, we will be glad to come," Lipavský wrote on social media platform X.

Russia claims that Ukraine launched a missile attack on the city of Belgorod on December 30 with two Vilkha missiles and Vampire MLRS rockets. The Russian Ministry of Defence claims that its air defence system shot down several missiles, the debris of which fell on the city, killing 22 people and injuring 100.
