Court sentences Russian terrorist informer Igar Girkin to 10 years in prison

The Russian agent tried to identify the locations and routes of movement of Ukrainian troops in the area of Sloviansk, as well as transferred the locations of local government agencies and critical infrastructure facilities.

In May, the SSU detained the agent as a result of a special operation in the frontline areas of the Donetsk region.

On November 17, a court in The Hague ruled that the Malaysian plane MH17 was shot down in eastern Ukraine in 2014 by the Russian military, namely Igor Girkin, Serhii Dubinskyi and collaborator Leonid Kharchenko. They were sentenced to life imprisonment and compensation to the families of the victims.
