Zaporizhzhia region, Ukraine (Svidomi) — The Russian army continues to use chemical weapons in the Zaporizhzhia sector of the south of Ukraine, according to the commander of the Tavria operational and strategic grouping of troops, Oleksandr Tarnavskyi.
In total, on March 2, the Russians launched 14 air strikes, 950 shelling and 90 kamikaze drone strikes on Ukrainian positions in the area of the Tavria operational and strategic grouping of troops.
There were 43 combat clashes between Russian and Ukrainian troops in this frontline section.
"Among other things, the Russians dropped nine chemical munitions from a UAV at once, which, let me remind you, is a violation of the Convention on the Prohibition of the Development, Production, Stockpiling and Use of Chemical Weapons," Tarnavskyi wrote.
Earlier, on February 20, Commander Tarnavskyi reported that the Russians had resumed the use of toxic chemicals in the Zaporizhzhia sector and in the Donetsk region, where the front line lies.
