Chișinău can't verify what happened because missile debris fell on uncontrolled territory — Sandu

Moldovan President Maia Sandu has commented on the incident of the fall of S-300 missile debris in unrecognised Transnistria on September 25.

TV8 reported this.

"I have the same information as our institutions have expressed. It is clear that we cannot verify on the spot what happened because it happened on the territory of the Transnistrian region. In any case, it happened because of the war. The bombs are falling because there is a war in Ukraine, and the war was started by Russia," she said.

The missile debris fell when Russians attacked the Odesa region.

According to Oleg Belyakov, co-chairman of the Joint Control Commission from Transnistria, the warhead of the missile hit the ground unexploded. There were no casualties.
