Canada and the Netherlands joined the case of Ukraine against Russia in the International Court of Justice — the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Canada

The countries are joining the case to present their interpretation of the provisions on genocide and its punishment.  

"In this proceeding, Ukraine seeks to establish that Russia has no legitimate basis to take measures in and against Ukraine to prevent and punish any alleged genocide," a joint statement of the governments of Canada and the Netherlands reads.
