British TV channel Sky News publishes alleged contract on Iranian arms sales to Russia

Journalists of the British TV news channel and organisation Sky News have published a document that may indicate a weapons deal from Iran to Russia. The document was handed over to journalists by their sources, who stated that "the contract is 100% authentic."

The document is 16 pages long and dated September 14, 2022. It contains the names of various ammunition worth over a million dollars.

The journalists were also provided with an agreement for the supply of barrels for T-72 tanks, barrels for self-propelled artillery systems, and ammunition shells. This deal is worth $740,000.

Both documents are written in English. According to the British TV channel's source, this is a common practice for contracts that Iran signs with other countries. However, there are errors in the papers.

Sky News notes that they were unable to independently verify the authenticity of these documents but have already shown them to Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal and British Foreign Secretary James Cleverly.

"Kyiv and London said they planned to investigate the authenticity of the materials and would take action if it was found to be credible," the journalists note.

The online media Svidomi turned to the Prime Minister of Ukraine, Denys Shmyhal, about whether he had actually seen the documents.
