Body of missing UK volunteer found in Ukraine

British police have reported that the body of a former British soldier who went missing in Ukraine has been found.

This was reported by Sky News.

The family of former paratrooper Daniel Burke reported him missing on August 16.

"My team and I are working with the Ukrainian authorities to make formal identification with a view to repatriating Daniel following that process," Det Supt Lewis Hughes said.

Burke arrived in Ukraine last year to set up a foreign volunteer unit known as the Dark Angels. Then, he was engaged in rescue and evacuation work. During that time, he returned to Manchester several times. 

Svidomi asked the Ministry of Defence to comment on what the Ukrainian side knows about the death of Daniel Burke. So far, we have not received a response.

It will be recalled that a British volunteer of the International Legion, Jordan Chadwick, was killed in Ukraine.
