Astronomical observatory damaged in Kharkiv region due to Russian shelling
It was reported by the researcher of the Radio Astronomy Institute of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Mykhailo Sydorchuk.
In Volokhove Yar, Chuhuiv district, radio telescopes and the main building are in a catastrophic condition, where the ceiling fell to the first floor after hitting the roof.
During the occupation of the village, the Russians invaded the territory of the institute, as they had underground collectors, a car park, garages, warehouses, and household appliances. Russian soldiers looted all the property, including unique, specialised computer equipment.
On September 9, Ukrainian troops liberated Volokhiv Yar in the Kharkiv region.
