A policeman, the protagonist of the film 20 Days in Mariupol, Volodymyr, was wounded in Pokrovsk as a result of a rocket attack by Russian troops on August 7.
This was reported by the author of the film 20 Days in Mariupol, war correspondent Mstyslav Chernov.
The policeman risked his life to help rescue people in Mariupol last spring.
"After we broke out of the encirclement, he continued to work as a police officer in his native Donetsk region," Chernov wrote.

On August 7, Volodymyr arrived at the site of a Russian missile hit in Pokrovsk to help people and was hit by a second missile attack.
As a reminder, Russia launched two missile strikes on Pokrovsk in the Donetsk region. Seven people were killed, and 67 were injured.
