Armenian President approves ratification of Rome Statute

Armenian President Vahagn Khachaturyan has signed the ratification of the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court.
The relevant message was published on the website of the President of Armenia.
Earlier, the statute was ratified by the country's parliament.
It will be recalled that on March 17, 2023, the International Criminal Court issued an arrest warrant for Russian President Putin and Russian Children's Commissioner Maria Lvova-Belova on suspicion of illegal deportation and transfer of Ukrainian children.
Countries that have ratified the Rome Statute are obliged to arrest Putin and Maria Lvova-Belova on their territory.
On October 13, the Russian President said he still wanted to visit Armenia, as quoted by the Armenian newspaper Asbarez.
Vladimir Putin said that he and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan had exchanged invitations to visit the capitals of both countries. For now, Putin doesn't plan to go to Yerevan, as Pashinyan "is now busy solving the tragedy of the Armenians of Nagorno-Karabakh".
