The Polish Election Commission has completed the vote count in the parliamentary elections.
This is evidenced by the website of the election commission.
- Law and Justice received 35.38% of the votes in the Sejm (lower house) and 34.41% in the Senate (upper house);
- Civic Coalition - 30.70% of the Sejm and 28.91% of the Senate;
- Third Way - 14.40% to the Sejm and 11.50% to the Senate;
- Left Wing - 8.61% to the Sejm and 5.29% to the Senate;
- Confederation - 7.16% and 6.75% respectively.
Back on October 16, Law and Justice leader Jarosław Kaczyński said that the exit polls predicted the party would win but admitted that it was not yet known whether Law and Justice would be able to form a government again.
Later, the Third Way Bloc ruled out the possibility of a coalition with Law and Justice.
The leaders of the opposition parties to Law and Justice will hold talks in a few hours after the official announcement of the results.
