Human rights activists report that the FSS continues to check the actions of the activist, which allegedly could harm Russia's security during the so-called "special military operation" on the territory of Ukraine.

On March 12, 2022, the family lost contact with Serhii Tsypiga, and the next day, journalist Oleh Baturin said that the Russian occupation forces were holding the activist in the building of the Kherson Regional State Administration, where Baturin allegedly heard the activist's voice in one of the adjacent interrogation rooms.

Also, according to the Human Rights Center "Zmina", it is known that since the beginning of September, Serhii Tsygipa has been detained in the temporarily occupied Crimea in Simferopol.
