Access to Telegram blocked in Iraq

In Iraq, users will no longer be able to use the Telegram app.

The Ministry of Communications of Iraq announced this.

Access to the app was blocked for national security reasons and to protect the personal data of citizens.

The ministry is convinced that Telegram violates the "integrity of processing" of data, which allegedly leads to leaks of data from government agencies and the personal data of citizens.
