A group of Ukrainian hackers exposed geolocations of the Russian military, in particular through surveillance cameras in Belarus

After February 24, the founder of the company "HackControl", Mykyta Knysh, gathered a hacker group called Hackyourmom, which helped expose the geolocations of the Russian military and counter Russian propaganda.

The team was able to hack thousands of CCTV cameras and traffic cameras in Belarus and the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine. They also identified a Russian base near the temporarily occupied Melitopol.

The hackers forced the occupiers to send the photos using fake profiles of women on social networks. Thanks to this, they determined the Russians' geolocation and forwarded it to the Ukrainian military.
