During the Russian attack on the Odesa region on September 26, a bus with children was on the Orlivka ferry crossing. They managed to get it out.

Radio Free Europe / Radio Liberty reported this, citing the founder of the Orlivka ferry complex, Yurii Dimchohlo.

"The civilian infrastructure of the crossing point was damaged, a lot of civilian and international vehicles and trucks — about 30. Six of them burned down completely. The warehouses were slightly damaged, but there were no direct strikes. The main targets were the customs areas and the accumulation zones of international transport for customs control, especially at the entrance to Ukraine," he said.

There were two buses at the crossing during the attack. One of them was carrying children.

"It was quickly cleared and put on a Romanian ferry, which was already leaving the shore," Dimchohlo said.

The second bus took ten minutes to clear. As it was leaving, the strikes started, which caused the glass to crack in the bus. Only the drivers were injured.
