The White House calls for the creation of a demilitarized zone around the ZNPP

The residence of the President of the USA believes that for the sake of safety, the nuclear reactors at the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant should be stopped. This was stated by John Kirby, National Security Council Coordinator for Strategic Communications in the White House.

Kirby also reported that the United States supports the IAEA mission at the Zaporizhzhia NPP. Washington called on the Russian Federation to ensure safe and unimpeded access to the plant for independent inspectors.
