14 people injured in Kharkiv due to Russian shelling with guided bombs

On the night of July 4, the Air Defence Forces downed 21 of 22 Shahed combat drones in the Kyiv, Chernihiv, Zhytomyr, Sumy, Dnipropetrovsk and Poltava regions.

In the Kharkiv region, bordering Russia in the east of Ukraine, the Russians launched 36 attacks with guided aerial bombs on Kharkiv, Hlushkivka, Kozacha Lopan, Nova Kozacha, Slatyno, Kotivka, Zemlianyi Yar, and Ruska Lozova. In Kharkiv, the shelling destroyed two private houses and damaged ten others, 12 apartment buildings, a cafe, a post office, a two-storey sports club and two university buildings. 14 people were injured. In other settlements, four people were injured by the shelling. In Zemlianyi Yar, Russians damaged a grain storage shed.

In the Donetsk region, partially occupied since 2014 and located on the frontline in the east of Ukraine, the Russians launched 2,501 attacks with guided aerial bombs and aircraft at Druzhkivka, Kostiantynivka, Kurakhove, Siversk, Toretsk, the village of New York, the villages of Bahatyr, Dachne, Ivanopillia, Katerynivka, Kostiantynopil, Mykhailivka, Nelipivka, Novozhelanne, Oleksandropol, Ostrovske, and Tarasivka. 29 residential buildings, an enterprise, a shop, non-residential premises, agricultural machinery, cars, and winter wheat fields were damaged. Three people were injured in Druzhkivka.

In the Luhansk region, almost completely occupied by Russia, the Russians launched 88 attacks on Makiivka and Nevske using artillery, MLRS and combat drones. According to the regional military administration, there were no casualties. There are still residents living in Nevske.

In the Dnipropetrovsk region, southcentral Ukraine, the Russians shelled the Pokrovsk, Marhanets, Myrove, Chervonohryhorivka, and Nikopol communities (next to the temporarily occupied Enerhodar, where Zaporizhzhia NPP is located — ed.) with artillery and attack drones. Private houses, a shop, power lines and gas pipelines were damaged. Seven people were injured. In Dnipro, the death toll from a missile strike on July 3, rose to six, and the number of the injured increased to 52.

In the Zaporizhzhia region, partially occupied in the south since 2022, the Russians fired 391 times at Novoandriivka, Huliaipole, Levadne, Robotyne Malynivka, Mala Tokmachka, Uspenivka, Novopavlivka and Plavni using artillery, combat drones and MLRS. One person was injured and two people were killed. 

In the Mykolaiv region, south of Ukraine, the Russians shelled the Ochakiv and Snihurivka communities. As a result of the shelling, a field of wheat caught fire. According to the regional military administration, there were no casualties.

In the Kherson region, south of Ukraine, which has been partially occupied since 2022, the Russians fired on Antonivka, Sadove, Stanislav, Komyshany, Klapay, Shyroka Balka, Pryozerne, Oleksandrivka, Mykilske, Darivka, Beryslav, Tyahyntsi, Dudchany, Zolota Balka, Kachkarivka, Burhunka, Monastyrske, Mykolaivka, Odradokamianka, Zmiivka, Lvove, Kozatske, and Kherson. Seven people were injured and one person was killed.

In the Chernihiv region, bordering Belarus and Russia to the north, the Russians shelled the Novhorod-Siverskyi, Snovsk and Semenivka communities with mortars, artillery and attack drones. According to the regional military administration, there were no casualties. On the night of July 4, the Russians fired an attack drone at an energy infrastructure facility. About six thousand people were left without electricity.

In the Sumy region, bordering Russia to the north, the Russians shelled the Khotin, Myropillia, Bilopillia, Krasnopillia, Velyka Pysarivka, Hlukhivka, Esman, Druzhbivka, Svesa, Seredyna-Buda, Znob-Novhorod communities with artillery, mortars, and attack drones. According to the regional military administration, there were no casualties.
